Conditions, modalities for exercising activity of new vehicle dealers

ALGIERS- The changes relating to the exercise of the activity of new vehicle dealers were examined, on Wednesday, at a government meeting.

In this regard, the Minister of Industry presented a draft executive decree which amending and supplementing Executive Decree No. 20-227 of August 19, 2020, setting the conditions and modalities for exercising the activity of new vehicle dealers, indicated a press release from the Prime Minister’s services.

The draft text includes modifications aimed at simplifying and making the eligibility conditions consistent, with a view to promoting competition and transparency by streamlining the administrative procedures, for obtaining the authorization of exercise of this activity.

At the same meeting, the government also examined a draft executive decree amending and supplementing executive decree No. 20-312 of 11/15/2020 on the terms and conditions for granting the authorization for customs clearance of chains and transport equipment.
